I’m ready for Spring

It’s been kind of chilly lately around here.   Grandma because the temperature keeps changing, I now have a cold.   My nose has been all stuffed up for a few days now.   It’s not very pleasant… and I’m thinking it may be even worse for Grandma and Papa.  I’m guessing when you don’t feel all that well, no one else feels very well either.   So, I’ve been a bit cranky.

However, there is some good news.  Papa is getting his bike ready, just waiting for the weather to improve just a little; less rain and just and little warmer.  He says Spring and Fall are the best times to ride in Houston.

He has also been starting up his bike a lot lately.   I love how it sounds.  It SO loud.  Even when I’m inside the house and watching him through the window it’s still loud.    The other day he let me crawl all over it.  I had a ball.   Then he got on it, put me on his lap, and started it.   I liked that… for a few minutes..  then it started to be too loud and it shakes a lot.   Grandma took me from Papa when I gave her that “if you don’t take me now…” look.

I’m ready just the same.  You can see from this photo that I have my very own Harley hat on and I’m ready to go.

Don’t I look like a real biker…  where did I put my chain… LOL

This next photo I just had to include so I could show you what happens to my eyes when Papa gets the camera to close…

I certainly hope my eyes go back straight again.

Well, that’s it for today

You see, I can sit still

I often hear people say that’s very difficult to get a 2 year old male toddler to sit still for more than a few minutes.   I know Papa says that a lot.   Sure, I’ll watch TV for a while.   However, when I’m watching TV, I’m also running all over the family room playing with toys and moving my couch to chair to my chair to table to stool.. I’m sure you get the idea.

Well, Grandma has come up with a way to keep me in one place, her lap, for almost a full 40 minutes.   It’s this software program she purchased for her computer.   It’s so cool.   It plays music, stuff dances around, and I get to pick what happens next.  Well, actually, Grandma does.  She tried to let me use the mouse to clip through to the next activity but said I was too “crazy”.   So, now she clicks and I sing, bounce, rock, giggle, and have an around relaxing goo time.

This first photo is of me sitting on Grandma’s lap playing with my computer game on Grandma’s computer (they haven’t bought me my own computer yet, but I’m sure it won’t be long).   I was watching the screen and I am sure Papa thought I didn’t see him sneaking around with the camera.  Just as he went to take the picture, I looked up and smiled.

This next photo is me picking out which activity I want to play next.  Grandma runs the mouse for me and does all of the clicking.

Finally, a photo of me pointing to the activity Grandma should start up next.  I’m by the time we finish, her shiny computer screen has to covered with toddle fingerprints.

Just in case you’re curious about what kind of computer software can make a toddler sit still, it’s from Jumstart.com and it’s called “Jump Start Advanced for Toddlers: .   Grandma found it at http://shop.knowledgeadventure.com/Products/JumpStart-Advanced-Toddlers__20547.aspx.

Well, That’s it for now

Thank you all very much for stopping by today and visiting with my blog

P.S.  I’m not sure if you all ever noticed by “Blogroll” in the right hand side bar.   They are other blogging sites I thought you might find interesting.    If you are into excellent photography, nature, and birds you really need to check out 10,000 hours of Photography.  I love watching the birds outside out diningroom window.  There is a pretty Cardinal that visits me almost every day.   So I find these pictures especially interesting.

KFC now makes toys

What’s the first thing you do when you buy Kentucky Fried Chicken?

You dump the biscuits out of the box they came in and the box as a hat.   Doesn’t everyone do that?

Don’t you know that ALL boxes are toys.

The Super Bowl???

You all probably already know that yesterday was Super Bowl Sunday.   It’s supposed to be a big deal I hear.  I know Aunt Lauren stopped by our house on her way to a Super Bowl Party.  The party part sounds like fun but I’m not too sure about the Super Bowl part.

I’m told it’s a big football game.  Right there you start to lose me.   We don’t watch very much football here.  An occasional Bills or Texans game, but nothing every week…  And no one here goes crazy about a game either.   For me, it seems like another Sunday; except Grandma was making chick wings (Buffalo Wings the right way as Papa always says) and we had chip and dip out.   I’m not allowed to eat spicy chicken wings nor spicy cheese queso dip nor chips for that matter.  So like I said, it all didn’t seem that Super to me.

And to make things if less interesting for me, or maybe this is just a sign of my interest in the game, I fell asleep in my high chair while Grandma made the wings before kickoff, before the game even started.   I did wake up for the last quarter.  However, by then I was so hungry I was far more interested in eating than I was in watching a game.   Of course, if I want to eat and NOT watch TV, everyone gets to NOT watch TV with me…

One cool part about Super Bowl Sunday…. Mom bought me a very cool football balloon that I can beat on; lots of fun with that balloon.  Papa took a picture of it for you all to see.   I’m not in the picture because when I have the balloon all you get to see are blurs… LOL

Well, that all for today.. nice a short…

Wednesday’s nights dinner in photos

It’s Wednesday night and it’s dinner time.   Mom and Grandma are getting my supper ready…  tonight’s treat is tortellini with graded Parmesan cheese; pasta with graded cheese, is there anything better for dinner…

The first thing that you must always do with pasta is check it to make sure it’s not too hot.

Once you’re sure it’s the correct temperature, you can eat it.   I usually start out with my fingers if I’m very hungry.  That way there’s nothing to slow me down.

Then after eating for a while, you move to the silverware.   I’ve already had a bunch so it’s OK if these last few take a little longer.  I also find that the more silverware you use at one time, the easier it is to control the tortellini.

Occasionally, you need to take a break to check out the dinosaurs on your drinking cup.   This cup has a bunch of different dinosaurs.

Of course, sometimes I find it difficult to figure out the cup design point.  Why woudl they put all of the dinosaurs on up side down?

Now it’s time for a little bit of dessert, some fresh banana.   I love bananas.

Now that I’ve finished dinner, it’s time to contemplate what other mischief I can get into this evening… (smile)…

Fortunately, I’m just so cute that no one gets made at me so I can get away with all kinds of stuff… LOL

Well, that dinner in photos and all I have for this afternoon.   I need to get ready for some silly football game tonight.  My job is to make sure everyone missing as much of the game as possible because they are supposed to be paying attention to me…

Help, I’m trapped in my shirt

Hi everyone

Sometimes you just can’t wait for someone to help you get out of your shirt.  You have to just to it…  and I need to learn anyway.
Today after dinner, I decided my to Grandma’s chagrin, that I no longer needed a shirt on.  I’m tough!!!  Who cares if it’s only 48 degrees outside and just 70 degrees in our kitchen, I no longer need this T-shirt on.  So, off it comes…  Well, sort of…

As you can see from the pictures above, I didn’t quite get my T-shirt completely over my head.  Now I’m stuck.  BTW, stuck is one of my favorite words.. I say it all the time.   This time, though, I really am stuck.

Papa finally came to rescue and helped out of my predicament.   We finally were able to remove my T-shirt, put my ‘jamies on, and get me off to bed.

Thanks it for today
