Grandpa always says I go non stop at full speed from the time I get up until I go to sleep. Yet it always seems like I’m full of energy. Mom thinks I have so much energy that that is one of the reasons I sometime cannot sleep through the night.
Well, Mom took a step to remedy that this week. She signed me up for a gym. There’s a small gym in a strip mall about a mile from our house called “The Little Gym of Kingwood”.
This morning was my first official visit. I’m in a class for 10-19 month old. Being 17 months old now, I’m one of the older toddlers making me a little bigger than most of the other kids. However, the next class goes from 19 months to 2.5 years old. These kids are way too big for me to play with for my first gym experience.
This morning didn’t start out well. I was up a lot last night with a tummy ache so I wasn’t in the best of modes when Mom and I arrived at the gym. For the first 15 minutes I wanted nothing to do with anything. However, after a while I started to warm up. I loved hanging on the rings. In fact, Mom had a hard time getting me down.
I walked on the balance beam, played with balls, and ran around like a crazy person. Running is great because the entire gym is one giant mat; minimal damage when I happen to crash.
The class last 45 minutes. By the time we get home, it’s already past my nap time and boy was a I ready to sleep this morning. I took a 3 hour nap.
Grandpa couldn’t come with us this morning so he didn’t get to take any pictures. However, he did take one of me as I was leaving wearing one of my favorite T-shirts he bought me and sweat pants, ready for my Saturday workout.
Next week is another class. I’m guessing it will be even better.

Sorry for the long hiatus; I was hoping to post no less than once a week when this blog was first started. However, Grandpa has been “under the weather” for the last few weeks, and as some of you have probably guessed, I don’t write all this stuff on my own… (smile)
Today’s post is short, mostly to tell why I haven’t been around and more importantly, to let you all know I am now using a fork on my own when eating without causing any major injuries to me or others in close proximity. Of course, a picture is always better than a bunch of words so here are a few photos of me in action..
The first trick to this fork stuff is getting something to actually stick to the end of the fork…
Of course, once you have something on the fork, there are so many different things you can do with it….
I did discover that sticking the fork in something of reasonable size is also very important….
The good news is, if you do pick something to large for your mouth, you always have the option of just picking pieces of it off the fork and eating it that way…..
But it’s best when you get something on the fork that fits into your mouth. Then everything just comes together so nicely…..
That’s it for this evening; it’s nice being back.
And of course, thanks for stopping by
This afternoon, Mom took me for my second haircut. We went to Aunt Lauren’s were a friend who cuts hair professionally, gave me quick clip job. I will post some pictures as soon as Grandpa takes MY picture with my new haircut.
The good news: she did nice job. Everything cam out nice and even despite me trying to continually stick my fingers into the scissors.
The bad news: she cut off all of my curls.
Sure, no one will ever mistake me a girl (can’t believe the pool repair guy thought I was a girl last week. I’m very masculine looking). However, it’s going to make it a lot to tougher for me to flirt now. All the “older” women just loved my hair and how cool I looked. Now I’m going to have to find something draw the girls to me… I think I’ll work on my smile…
That’s it for now… Just a quick post tonight. Keep an eye out for the new haircut photos.
